(In all honesty, this post is only moderately related to house stuff. The connection is that Jas and I love to go on walks to explore the neighborhood, look at houses, and get ideas.)

This evening, after Jason finished a bit of work on the street-side retaining wall, we decided to take a walk to dinner. In the past, we've walked to one of the cute restaurants in downtown La Mesa. Tonight we decided to switch it up and walk towards San Diego State and have dinner at Woodstocks--one of Jason's favorite pizza spots. It's about 1.5 miles each way...maybe a little further since we like to take side-streets and check out our 'hood. Well, the walk there was about 1.5 miles. The walk back, on the other hand, was a little (okay, a lot!) longer. For some reason the streets in that area are SO confusing and totally disorienting, even for me and Jason...both of us tend to have a good sense of direction. To make it even funnier, Jason was carrying his leftovers (a big pizza box) the entire way. When we got back and looked at our route, we couldn't stop laughing. We ended up walking about 5.5 miles total...
